![]() ![]() A mix of maps inspired by Ubisoft games and original maps, all of which will be available at launch. This closed beta allows players from different platforms to play together in matches. While this beta is only available for PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5, the full game will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and Amazon Luna, although no release date has been announced yet. Hopefully, you can get in as we found XDefiant to be surprisingly solid from what we’ve played so far. (Optional) Answer a couple of survey questions about other similar games. You may have to check your email inbox for a verification email to verify your Ubisoft account. Sign into your Ubisoft account, create a Ubisoft account, or sign in with a Facebook, Xbox, Twitch, or PlayStation account. You can only choose one so make sure you pick the right one. Choose your preferred platform between PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, then click ‘register’.Go to the XDefiant website and scroll down to the bottom to find the register section. Here’s what you need to do to get into the XDefiant beta before it ends on April 25: ![]() This process also involves using a Ubisoft account, so make sure you’ve got the details handy if you already have one. This Playtests main goal is testing the crossplay functionalities, that's why it's opt out and everybody or only your platform right now.Īnd I do agree it's a valid concern, I'm a somewhat good console player I'd say, i can keep up fairly well in most lobbies but some rounds, you really have no chance against some PC players, especially with the connection problems, the weird controller stuff such as the aim curve, aim assist being weird and everything else.If you couldn’t get an access code through Twitch Drops towards the start of the XDefiant closed beta, the alternative is to register online, although be aware that this does not guarantee you an access code. If you group with a friend who's on PC, you'll be playing in the keyboard pool You can also switch it to match up with everybody, or your platform only. Say as a controller player you'll only match against other controller players and if you play with keyboard & mouse, you'll match with others that do so. Ignoring the discussion in that other comment thread, good news, it's already confirmed that at launch, the game will have input based crossplay. I just hope that in the final release crossplay with PC is opt-in, instead of being enabled by default, or XDefiant will be yet another game ruined by PC players. With a solid gameplay and being F2P, XDefiant has everything it needs to succeed, my only concern is about crossplay, the lobbies are filled with PC players and it's a sweat fest, crossplay can be disabled in-game, but I didn't find a match when I did it. For some reason loading screens are very blurry and low resolution, but the game itself looks sharp. Graphics are decent, but nothing mind blowing, I like the colorful elements, I'm tired of the 50 shades of brown from milsims games. I couldn't quite get the aim right for my taste, but I didn't mess with the settings that much, there's a lot of options to tweak the aim, so I guess It's a matter of figuring out the best settings. I got the invite and played a bit, I think gameplay is solid, is fast paced and somewhat similar to COD, there are classes and objectives, so it feels like a cross between COD and Overwatch. ![]()
